Nature Conservation

Sean assists nature recovery projects and organisations through strategy development and management support.  With a strong background in nature conservation – at strategic, management, and practical levels – and years of experience in the commercial environment sector, he designs and delivers innovative and pragmatic nature conservation projects.

Sean is an enthusiastic project manager and leader, with an eye for bringing the right people together to build motivated and effective teams.  A natural strategic thinker, he understands the importance of good project structure, from identifying need through to completion.

Sean has a logical, stepwise, and responsive approach, with an emphasis on developing, communicating, and monitoring clear objectives, timelines and schedules.  He has the technical background to understand complex (and sometimes contentious) ecological issues and to identify the opportunities and resources needed to deliver on objectives.

Sean understands the importance of effective positioning of projects at an early stage, using a marketing approach to identify key stakeholders and project messages, forming a firm basis for promotion and public relations, advocacy and campaigning.

Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)

Sean has long experience of assessing ecological impact and is trained in EcIA through the Chartered Institute for Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).  He undertakes ecological impact assessments for developments in and around Moray, providing reliable assessments on time and within budget.  Sean is committed to the creation of nature-positive places, as set out in the Government’s National Planning Framework (NPF4).

Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW)

Sean provides ECoW support for projects in and around Moray, delivering effective on-site communication, problem-solving and record-keeping, with strict adherence to health and safety standards.
